As the 2025 BCLT Translator in Residence, Paul translates from Danish and Norwegian and has a keen interest in drama. He has translated a dozen plays and heads a mentoring programme for aspiring theatre translators with Foreign Affairs. He has also translated a score of books, including Michael Strunge’s punk poetry collection, Speed of Life and Lars Mytting’s The Sixteen Trees of the Somme. Paul serves on the committee of the Translators Association and is Chair of DELT, the Association of Danish-English Literary Translators. (paulrussellgarrett.com)
